As widely expected, thousands trooped to the Calvary Grounds, close to the Baba Yara Stadium Saturday night to witness dancehall singer Shatta Wale live in concert –and perform he did, as he kept thew music coming for three hours uninterrupted.

This unprecedented collaboration between Shatta Wale,  EIB Network’s Abusua FM and Ultimate FM, as well as entertainment outfit Rich Game also forms part of part of his initiative for incident-free elections come December.

Shatta Wale, over the past five years or so, has become a powerful voice in Ghanaian discourse, especially through his music. It is obviously as a result of this that he feels the need to add his voice to the cry for peaceful elections later this year. The concert is just another testament to what place he holds in the entertainment space presently.
