I Have Forgiven Shatta Wale – Andy Dosty

Host of Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Andy Dosty, has revealed that he has forgiven Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale with whom he had been feuding recently.
The two, who had a great friendship over the years, with Shatta Wale gifting the presenter $1000 last year, had a falling out earlier this year.
Andy, on one of the segments of his morning show, had asked people to comment on a tweet by Shatta Wale which indicated that Ghanaian youth are not making money because they were lazy.
However, that did not go over well with the Chop Kiss artiste who insulted his one-time best prA hurt Andy Dosty also recounted all that he had done for Shatta Wale and how the man was now repaying him with insults.
“I was that gentleman who came to Accra, took his CDs, went to Kumasi to share among radio stations and presenters; it was me. I drove around in Kumasi; my car, my fuel, showing him that love. Telling people there is a new kid on the block. I created a monster,” he stated.esenter on Twitter.
However, it looks like Andy has decided to forget about everything and move on. At the MTN Music Festival on Tuesday, March 5, Andy, who was the official DJ on the night made a statement before dropping one of Shatta’s hit songs, My Level.
He said, “I know there have been some issues between me and a certain gentleman, well I want you to do me this favour, please tell that gentleman that I have forgiven him.”
Touching on the issue in a previous interview on 3FM, Andy explained that he bore no malice whatsoever against the musician and had thought his post was one of the usual jokes he shared with the musician because they had a good relationship until he saw a video posted by Shatta Wale of an SM fan insulting him (Andy Dosty).
“There was a video of someone insulting me left, right and centre that he (Shatta Wale) has posted. That was when I saw the intensity of the matter,” Andy Dosty told MC Bobby.

Find Out Why Timbaland Exits “EMPIRE” Series After Two Seasons

File Photo

After concocting the music on EMPIRE since the beginning, it looks like FOX’s hit series is partying ways with super producer Timbaland. With season three around the corner, the show has hired producer Rodney Jerkins as supervising music producer and songwriter Ester Dean.

Not only are those two joining the music team but songwriters including Johntá Austin, Makeba Riddick, Jesse St. John, Ne-Yo and J.R. Rotem are all on board as well.

The series decided to take a different route as far as the music, bringing in people who were known for bigger hooks and bigger pop hits. The past two seasons dealt with family drama, but it seems like the show it take a turn as they try to break an artist this season.

The list of guest artists for season three is huge, so it seems like EMPIRE is trying to go big or go home with the music and the soundtrack.

Mavado is Brutal; Still Dissing Popcaan Even After His Apology ‘Dem Fraid’

Dancehall Artists, Mavado

Mavado laugh off Popcaan recent apology posted on his Instagram page and unleashed a new diss track “Dem Fraid” signalling that their beef is not yet over.

Last week things grew intense between the two dancehall artists with Popcaan getting some harsh criticisms for some of the language that he used in some of his diss songs particularly taking shots and DJ Khaled and Sharon Burke. The Hotskull deejay has since apology to his fans and Mavado while drawing attention to the fact that the war is all a part of dancehall culture.

Mavado has pretty much ignored that apology and drop a new diss track. “Dash weh dollar coin / Paper mi save / Dutty gun mi have up weh nuh bathe / Gully Gad fling hand grenade / The pu**y dem know dem fi fraid / Diss mi, dem know it risky / Smallest tip a fire 60,” the Gully Gad sings.

The track was produced by Moshouse and FHM.

Mavado fans are already declaring victory but Popcaan fans are saying not so fast the war is not over yet. “Poppy not ready for this level of lyrical battle shows you that he didn’t learn anything from Vybz Kartel,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“The war is just getting started so just watch Hotskull going in the studio when he comes back from Belize,” another fan wrote.

Desiigner Pills Found In Rapper’s SUV Were Steroids

Desiigner and Kanye West

Desiigner is maintaining his innocence as more details comes forward regarding his recent arrest in New York City.

The “Panda” rapper was booked last week Thursday on gun and drug charges after cops pulled over and search an SUV that he was traveling in. That incident stemmed from a road rage where the other victim called 911 and reported that someone inside the SUV pointed a gun at them. Cops NYPD reported that they found drugs and a loaded gun inside the vehicle.

But Desiigner was released from jail on Saturday and the gun charge dropped. But now it seems like the drug charges will also go because of all the 302 pills found in the SUV, all of them were steroids belonging to the driver. These includes Methandrostenolone, PharmOne Oxandrolone, and Halotest Fluxymesteron.

The “Tiimmy Turner” rapper is signed to Kanye West G.O.O.D. Music label and is currently working on his debut album. We assumed that Desiigner will be getting back in the studio following his release.

Rihanna and Drake Shows Some PDA In Miami nightclub

Rihanna and Drake

Rihanna and Drake relationship is heating up again after the couple was spotted showing some serious PDA inside a Miami nightclub.

Drake got everyone talking following his appearance at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards where he famously told the audience that he has loved Rihanna since he was 22 years old. “She’s someone I’ve been in love with since I was 22 years old,” he said.

Rihanna then accompanied Drake to Miami where he is touring for his Summer Sixteen Tour. They hit up E11EVEN nightclub on Tuesday night and drew the attention of club goers with their kissing and hugging. Both RiRi and Drizzy have made several appearances at each others concerts this year and sources are saying that was a way for them to spend more time with each other and work on their relationship.
Rihanna and Drake have been dating on and off for the last few years but since the start of this year things have been getting serious. Sources are also saying that the Toronto emcee has been inching to propose to Rihanna.

Shortly after presenting her with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the 2016 VMAs, Drake congratulates Rihanna on IG. “This is a night for us all to be thankful for what you have done for us! You have affected so many of our lives in the best way possible. Tonight we celebrate you! @badgalriri,” he wrote.

Drake Debut ‘Childs Play’ Video Starring Tyra Banks | WATCH

Drake Debut ‘Childs Play’ Video Starring Tyra Banks

Drake premiered the highly anticipated video for his Views single “Childs Play.”
The short film clip ran for 12-minutes and was co-directed by Drake and Spiff TV and shot at a Cheesecake Factory in Houston over the summer. There is a famous line in the single where Drake sings about his love for the chain restaurant. “Why you gotta fight with me at Cheesecake / You know I love to go there / Say I’m actin’ lightskin, I can’t take you nowhere,” Drizzy sings.

The video starts out with Tyra Banks and Drake dining inside Cheesecake Factory but the 6 God went to the restroom and left his phone on the table. Of course she went through it and she lost it when he returned to their table.

“She didn’t call you Drake, she called you Aubrey,” the model yelled as other diners in the restaurant look at them in horror. “So obviously there’s something a little bit more intimate for her to call you Aubrey. I call you Aubrey. Your mom calls you Aubrey. These bi**hes call you fu**ing Drake!”
That blowout ended with Tyra shoving mash potatoes in his face before pouring wine all over him and stormed out the restaurant. The clip then switch over to V Live nightclub in Houston where one of Drake’s associates Texas Hammer, real name OB O’Brien, Jr. plays the club manager. Watch him round up his dancers who have some interesting names like Coco, Infectious, and Honey.

Drake is currently making his way across North America with his Summer Sixteen tour with Future. He was in Miami last week where he brought out Rihanna and Lil Wayne on stage. The OVO emcee is also getting ready to drop a short film title “Please Forgive Me” due on September 30.

How Kanye West & Teyana Taylor Used Dancehall In ‘Fade’ Video To Break The Internet

Kanye West

Kanye West refers to himself as a creative genius and the world is starting to believe him.

The G.O.O.D. Music rapper cast Teyana Taylor, who has a banging body by the way, in his new music video “Fade” and incorporate some dancehall moves. In the below video you can see famous dancehall dance “Bruk Back” on display. The dance move was created by Tamara Graham from OutShine Girls based in Kingston.

Famed international choreographer Jae Blaze weighed in on the video breaking the internet and highlighting dancehall. But she wants local dancers to get more credit when their craft is used by international artists. In case you’re wondering, Blaze is of Jamaican descent.

“I wish that people would give more credit and exposure to the amazing dancers and dancehall artistes residing in Jamaica right now,” she said. “They’re the ones who are spearheading this,” she said. “This is a culture, and there are people in Jamaica who need to benefit from their music and dance moves being exposed to the rest of the world.”

Kanye West and Teyana Taylor is not the first international artists to used local dance moves and will certainly not be the last. Drake used a few amateur mashup of some dancehall moves in his “Hotline Bling” video and that sent off a social media firestorm of memes.

Taylor says that she merely rehearsed the choreography before shooting the video and a lot of it was pure freestyle. “We were kinda just switching things as we went, adding things as we went,” she told VH1. “It was a good time. I was able to let off some steam and put all my emotions and all my excitement, all my intensity, my hard work that I’ve been giving for so long, I was able to put all of that into that moment in the movement.”

The single “Fade” is featured on Kanye West platinum-selling album “The Life of Pablo,” released back in February.

Lil Wayne Blames Retirement On Birdman ‘I Will Never Work With Him Again’

Rapper, Lil Wayne

Lil Wayne is opening up for the first time about his recent retirement announcement on Twitter.

Weezy gave his fans a scare last week when he announced on Twitter that he will be hanging up the mic because he is mentally defeated in reference to his fight with Birdman. During his appearance on FS1 show “Undisputed,” Wayne offered up some clarity on why he sent out the tweet.

“I was at my tipping point [because of] an argument,” the New Orleans rapper told hosts Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe. “This is business. Once business is involved, I have a family, I have kids, I have a mother, and we’ve got bills. This is business so once the business is right, then everything is right.”

What was also no surprise was when Lil Wayne made it clear that he will never work with his former mentor Birdman. “Give me mine and I’ll walk off free, smiling,” he said.

Lil Wayne also echoed some similar sentiments like what some of his fans have been saying when it comes to his retirement saying that he is not really retiring.
“I AM NOW DEFENSELESS AND mentally DEFEATED & I leave gracefully and thankful I luh my fanz but I’m dun,” Lil Wayne tweeted last week. “Ain’t lookin for sympathy, just serenity.”

Since making those remarks on Twitter, Weezy has been getting a lot of support from fellow rappers including his own protege Drake, as well as, former rivals Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan. The Young Money rapper’s fans have also came out in huge numbers on social media showing him a lot of support.

Lil Wayne is still suing Birdman and Cash Money for $51 million. His album Tha Carter V has still not been released.

Sizzla Gay Rights Group Attack U.S. Tour, Promoters Scramble (+ More)

Reggae/Dancehall Singer, Sizzla Kalonji

Sizzla Kalonji is still feeling some fallout from his past issues with gay rights groups in the United States.

The reggae/dancehall singer is currently on tour in the U.S. with sold out shows in New York and California. But one of his upcoming tour dates on September 23rd at the 1015 Folsom in San Francisco has hit a snag after a LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer) mounted a protest forcing the promoter to move the event to a venue in Oakland.

“We have worked to educate people on ‘murder music’ and we have had lots of success,” Queer Humboldt’s Todd Larsen said (Via JamaicaObserver). “Therefore, we will continue to educate where we can so that venue owners can understand and will not accomodate entertainers like Sizzla, who seek to bring violence upon gays and lesbians via their music.”

Larsen says that he is even surprised that Sizzla got back his visa and is now able to perform in the U.S. “We are even very surprised that he got back his visa,” he said.

This marks the first set of performance in the U.S. for Sizzla in almost a decade due to his past visa issues. But this summer the U.S. embassy in Kingston reinstated the deejay’s work permit allowing him to go on a North America tour.
