Change Your Style, Be Yourself – Music Producer Advises Kelvynboy

Popular music producer and CEO of Drum Lyne Entertainment, Justice Oteng, popularly known as Wei Ye Oteng has sent a piece of advice to Burninton Musc Group artist Kelvynboy real name Kelvin Brown.
According to the CEO of Drum Lyne Entertainment in a Facebook post, he urged Kelvynboy to get back to his former self musically if he wants to leave an indelible mark in the industry in Ghana citing that it has been extremely hard to recognize Kelynboy through his records for quite a while in light of the fact that he is by all accounts duplicating the style of Nigeria’s Star Boy, Wizkid.
Wei Ye Oteng further made the point that Kelvynboy was one of a kind with his style of singing at the time he was doing copyright with groups, something which gave him a remarkable character and in that capacity ought not to be permitted to sneak past.
He wrote: “I started enjoying this super talent when he was then doin copyright with bands, he was good and unique untill he started his own vibe after Stonebowy gave him a push, But for sometime now is hard to recognise him only via record, i always think is wizkid anytime Kelvin is on a record, i think he should go back and listen to how he used to deliver and attain some identity for himself be4 is too late, #Otengbeats #WYO”
Wei Ye Oteng has produced songs for musicians like Trigmatic, Joyce Blessing, Obrafour, A Plus, Barima Sidney and Noble Nketsia.

Record Labels Bugging Me With Sex Demands – Feli Nuna

\
Singer Feli Nuna says she has rejected a lot of offers from some record labels because those in charge demand sex as a prerequisite to signing her.
“I want an executive producer who does not want to sleep with me but who wants to bring me money and work with me,” the disgusted talented singer stated.
“I’ve had a lot of offers from people who want to invest in my craft but they all say: ‘Your waist is nice’, or ‘you are a nice girl’, and at the end, sometimes they might not start from the beginning but it always gets there and I always complain,” the ‘Gelaway’ hitmaker lamented.
Feli Nuna noted that if investors can support male artistes without any sexual benefits, then they should also do the same for female artistes.
“All the male artistes you see, big men and influential people support them, so, does it mean that they also sleep with them? You are investing to get your money back; that is the same way you should approach it with a female artiste as well,” she stressed.
The songstress urged rich female entrepreneurs to invest in female artistes because the music business is lucrative.
“I’ve been facing this [challenge] from the outset of my career. I urge women who are financially sound to invest as well, they should also invest in other female artistes as well.
“Trust me, the music business is booming, you can make a lot of money from the music business if you take it seriously. More record labels focus on the show, not the business,” she advised.

Every Season Has Its Artistes - Stonebwoy Replies Tic Tac

Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has played down criticisms that the Ghanaian music industry is currently being run by three artistes.
According to him, every season in the music industry has its own celebrated artistes.
Speaking to KMJ on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Tuesday, Stonebwoy said listeners get attached to the music of up-and-coming artistes who turn to rule the music scene till the songs of others take over.
“Once upon a time Tic Tac [now called Tic], Tinny and some other artiste were ruling the music scene. They were hotter when some of us were not,” he added.
Stonebwoy was responding to Tic’s comments on the Ghana music industry ruled by three artistes.
The hiplife artiste accused industry players and show organisers for booking three artistes for almost every show during the 2018 Christmas season.
According to Tic, the monopoly some of these artistes are enjoying have caused other singers to be sidelined. This, he says, does not help other artistes grow.

He explained that the music industry has a pool of musicians with different styles and vibes that need to be shown to the people.
“Once you create the environment where everybody has a gig then we’ll have a variety of acts at the shows,” he said.
However, Stonebwoy said a number of artistes being celebrated at a particular time have been the culture of the industry for a long time.
“Once upon a time people got used to the style of the “Ss” Sonni Balli, Samini and Sarkodie, but now the “Ks” Kuami Eugene, King Promise and company are doing so well,” he added.
The dancehall artiste noted that, beyond the complaining or talking about the problem, solutions should be looked into to help solve the problem.
“Maybe ten years from now, other artistes will be hotter than some of us,” he stated.
Stonebwoy stated the problem makes old artistes who have passed their prime less expensive.
“I think if you want to book Celine Dion now the price will be something else. It is like wine, the older is it the more expensive it should be but sadly the system here is different,” he added.
The “Mane Me” singer said, If the systems in the country are fit and everything is in place, the artistes in their prime today should be more expensive than the new artistes of tomorrow.
He said, “I check what we can do so we keep soaring because there are people who are 50 years like Richard Bonah and UB40 who are still kicking it.”
Stonebwoy explained a bigger platform should be created for music lovers and should allow underground artistes “a step to solving the problem of monopoly.”
He advised artistes to position themselves well in their prime to remain relevant and not follow certain routes.
“That’s how we’re going to still be confident, comfortable and not be bothered about certain things.”

Watch Efia Odo and Counsellor Lutterodt 'fight'

TV presenter Efia Odo and controversial counsellor, George Lutterodt, nearly came to blows in a radio studio on Friday, February 22, 2019.

The pair were both guests on Abeiku Santana’s show on Okay FM, but tempers quickly flared leading to an altercation.

In a video that has gone viral, Counsellor Lutterodt is seen angrily questioning why Efia Odo would be wearing skimpy dresses around.

He said that is not the way decent girls should dress, adding that the presenter had dressed shabbily like a toy.

In response, Efia Odo described the counsellor as a mad man who talks recklessly at the least opportunity.

She wondered why the media continues to give Counsellor Lutterodt the platform to say all manner of things about people.

Host Abeiku Santana had to intervene to ensure the heated exchanges did not escalate further.

It would be recalled that Efia Odo recently controversially clashed with fellow actress Moesha Boduong.

Moesha alleged that Efia Odo sleeps around with married men and some top footballers just to make a living.

She further alleged that Efia once had an abortion after she was impregnated by a musician, adding that the Tv presenter always lives a fake life.

Efia also threatened to beat Moesha up anytime she meets her, in what was a weird social media war between the two actresses.

Security Man Killed His Employer Because A Spiritualist Revealed To Him That His Madam Wanted To Kill Him For Rituals

Security Man Osman Yakubu

A Burkinabe security man has been arrested and faces murder charges after his employer, Madam Lucy Tawiah Peprah, was found dead at her residence in Accra.

Osman Yakubu and Lucy Tawiah Peprah

Madam Tawiah’s body was found repeatedly stabbed, with the suspect in the room with her with the murder tools lying all around.
The watchman, who worked for the woman, told police that he killed the woman because a spiritualist told him she planned to use him for rituals.
DailyGuide reports…
Madam Lucy Tawiah Peprah, 72-year-old educationist and former headmistress of St Monica’s Training College, was reportedly butchered by Osman Yakubu, her night security man, last Saturday.
The police apprehended Osman Yakubu with one Benjamin Semabia, 65-year-old driver of the deceased woman, to assist in investigations.
Two machetes and a pair of scissors allegedly used in perpetrating the act were retrieved by the police from Yakubu at the time of his arrest.
The Tesano District Police Commander, DSP Edward Tetteh, who briefed DAILY GUIDE, said police on Saturday, November 12, 2016, received a distress call at about 10pm that a watchman had butchered his madam at Abelemkpe.
According to DSP Edward Tetteh, when the police got to the scene, the suspect had barricaded himself in the room of the deceased person and was with the dead body.
He said the police broke into it and arrested Osman Yakubu, who had armed himself with two machetes and a pair of scissors.
A close examination on the body revealed that Mrs Lucy Peprah was stabbed.
“There were deep cuts in her head, arms and face while she lay half n*ked in a pool of blood,” he posited.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Osman Yakubu had been working with the woman for the past one-and-a-half years.
On that fateful day, at about 9pm, Osman was said to have armed himself with the afore-mentioned weapons and proceeded to the room of his madam,  who lived in a one-storey building apartment at Abelemkpe.
Michael Abiasa, the cook in the house, first spotted Osman Yakubu with the machetes and when he questioned him (Yakubu), the suspect allegedly attacked him and so he fell on the ground unconscious.
Raymond Achianku, a day security man around, reportedly heard of the screaming and came out to save his colleague, but he was also assaulted by Osman Yakubu.
Madam Lucy Tawiah Peprah, also director of Solid Foundation School and philanthropist, had then returned from the bathroom and was preparing to go to bed.
The suspect was said to have sneaked into her room and without any questions, butchered her mercilessly.
When the inherent dangers of issues like superstition and religion are raised people tend to scoff because its such a deeply ingrained part of themselves that they simply refuse to see anything wrong with those topics.
This watchman claims he received a warning from a spiritualist, probably some charlatan, that his madam was going to kill him. So he went straight and butchered her first.
And there’s no reason this has to be limited to such traditional practices – pastors tell people all the time that a certain ‘witch’ in their family is after them, and it could lead to such a similar disastrous end. When people can throw such accusations about without evidence, irrational people might act on it.
